How did I get into photography?
I've always obsessed over photography, in fact I force my husband to have a photoshoot done with me at least once a year. I LOVE love! Looking at beautiful, timeless photos of families & couples has always warmed my heart. As a teenager I thought I would make a great photographer. I am outgoing, bubbly & love to obsess over giggling children as well as soulful romantic couples. Though I didn't think I was technologically advanced enough to even try. I followed 100+ photographers on social media before ever diving into photography. One day while scrolling my Instagram full of photographers I expressed to my husband how badly I LOVE photography. I wanted to do it but I didn't have faith in myself. Luckily my sweet husband had faith in me. He surprised me with my first camera in August of 2021. After that I just dove right in. I'm self taught with the help of YouTube & the amazing content by photographers on Instagram from around the world. I hope you will follow along as I continue my photography journey.
A little about me!
I'm grew up in Utah with a few years in Washington state. I've been married for 7 years. My Husband recently tranistioned out of the Marine Corps & made all my dreams come true by moving our family to Leamington, UT. We have two angel babies, our rainbow(miracle) son & a beatiful baby girl. One of the many things I love about being a photographer is that I am able to be home with my little ones. Family is everything to me. I love being in nature, hiking, fishing & swimming! I was raised in the city but I'm a country girl at heart. I am also a lover of all things romance.
Who is Charlee River?
Charlee & River are the names of my angel babies that I lost through miscarriage. All of my children, both heaven & earth side, are the inspiration behind my passion for photography. When I think of them I think of real life joys & sorrows. I want to remember it all. Photography to me is a pause. A way to capture raw emotion & look back at the moments in time we never want to forget. I named my photography business after my angels to honor their memory & to keep my focus on the natural beauty of life.
